Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and it's stuck on my phone, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I could never work out what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I'd guess and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that's where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it's over at trixie free bet calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier extras. They've got an probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent when I'm splitting a race.
It's not perfect mind. Its layout feels very functional, let's say — no flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's fine though the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted.
